Last weekend, I stopped by the local bookstore as I often do. I usually gravitate towards fantasy, but this time "Dracula" caught my eye. While fantasy is my go-to genre, I do enjoy horror, I decided to take "Dracula" home to see if Bram Stoker's words are still truly terrifying after 130 years.
As I've started reading, I've noticed that while the book may not hold the same level of fear it once did, it remains incredibly captivating. The atmosphere Stoker creates is rich and engaging, The suspense builds slowly, allowing me to appreciate the intricate details and character dynamics. The historical context and writing style add a unique flavor that keeps me immersed in the story and world. I'll be sure to update at the end of the month or once I finish reading to share my full thoughts and impressions.
